The app is awful. To explain what I mean, I will provide a comparison between GreenJinn and Shopmium.

Here is how to see and save a deal on GreenJinn:
- On the first screen the relevant deals are automatically selected, all the details are visible, and you can immediately click "add".

Here is how to see and save a deal on Shopmium:
- Scroll across the list of shops.
- Select the relevant shop.
- Look at the deals.
- Scroll through the varieties carousel of a potential deal.
- Click on the deal.
- Wait for the deal to load.
- Be shown a completely pointless screen.
- Dismiss the completely pointless screen.
- Wait for the deal to load.
- At this point there is still no indication of when the deal will end or the price of the product.
- Click on a potential variety of the product.
- Finally we now see the price of the product and have enough information to know if we want to save it.
- Be surprised that the deal isn't available at the shop that we selected, thereby making the deal completely pointless.

On my phone Shopmium shows 1 deal when a shop is selected, because so much of the screen is wasted with repeating the shop name, the app title and the annoying image carousel. GreenJinn shows 4 deals and they have a lot more information.

It feels like the app developers went out of their way to make the worst possible design.

My refer a friend is missing and they haven’t credited my bonus.

I contacted them about this on 3/11/22 and their replies are very poor.

Please have a manager look into this ~ as it’s not good enough!

I’ve used Shopmium for years now and claimed cash back countless times. Over the last month or so my receipts keeps being rejected for not showing the original place of purchase and / or the item clearly. I always make sure they are not blurry and shows all the details. The rejection comes after a week, so hard to trace the receipts. Sadly, there’s no way of getting in touch with Shopmium which is a real shame.

I have been, I thought, a good Shopmium customer for ages now, but lately they keep rejecting my receipts for one reason or another.
The latest reason they’ve given is that my receipt looks ‘different’, whatever that means, and they want to see a copy of my bank statement showing the claimed purchase.
This is impossible as I paid in cash and I have told them this several times, but to no avail.
They are now just ignoring my emails altogether.

Been using Shopmium for over a year now, easy to use, app works great, picture taking and scanner works decent. I have over 150 purchases and saved almost £250 now, great for trying things you wouldn't normally, for free or discounted. Just read through the specific items and store to purchase from and you're good to go.

Claimed on things such as, drinks, chocolates, ice creams and burgers. Updates regularly with new offers.

Had a birthday present from them this year in the form of a box of chocolates.

My only gripe is on 2 or 3 occasions I've had to message about a withdrawal after taking over a week, it is usually paid next day or two. The customer service team are friendly and helpful however.

I’ve been using Shopmium for ages now & love all the freebies/ heavily discounted products I receive. Once you reach Gold level they even give you a free box of chocolates on your birthday as an added bonus. I cannot fault this easy to use app & I recommend signing up if you haven’t already. Brilliant! Easy to use and they update the freebies regularly. The only downside is sometimes the offers aren't on for long enough so you might buy a product at the supermarket and then the offers gone so you miss out on getting cashback but apart from that I fully recommend. :)

Did anyone at Shopmium actually test the updated app? Its horrible to look at and use. It's hard to believe that anyone would think it's good, and the reviews on Google Play would suggest I'm far from alone in thinking so.

So i've removed it...and found two competing apps who have better offers and who aren't committing crimes against good UI design.

I bought an item as required but could not get into my account to prove it! I tried the forgotten passport route & all I got was a page saying ‘there’s nobody here’! I kid you not!!! I contacted their ‘customer services’ who eventually replied & as far as I am concerned used delaying tactics. They asked that I send them proof of purchase & a copy of that page, which I did. I was then told that I would be sent my refund. Still waiting despite my sending them further emails.
Complete waste of time - don’t bother with them as they don’t seem to honour their pledges nor respect the shopper!!!!!

I almost broke down when I shopped at them and could not get what I ordered, thanks to the crypt0 pr0fit option dot come, I was able to use the little I had to generate income to survive.
They respect their commitment and give you a very good return.

always whether getting cashback accepted or customer service if not happy with anything. We have 6 family members and all happy and saved over £100 over the years. Glad to have found this useful app.

Shopmium is a really great app for discovering new foods in the uk supermarkets that I wouldn't have otherwise tried. As you can see from the other reviews here, it's a great hit. The concept is really clever, as it's a win-win for customers and also new food brands trying to get their brand out there, and I only wish they had more offers available!

In theory this app is great and it's lovely to try new products. However be thorough when checking the offers. When in a rush in a supermarket it's easy to miss the small print. Some say 'try for £1' and others '£1 off'. Of course the 'try for' and 'off' are tiny so there I was thinking I got a bargain but in fact even with £1 off I was spending way more than I would like on toilet roll and tissues!
